On Wednesday, November 18, 2009, K12 Technology Works presented at the California Educational Technology Professionals Association (CETPA) annual conference in San Diego, California. The session, entitled “ Optimizing IT: Better Planning-Better Control-Better Results,” provided both a presentation and discussion of the tools available for effective IT management. The session successfully aided those in attendance by taking a close look at the methods and resources available to assist technology professionals, and other stakeholders in ensuring that their investments in technology will achieve their intended results. Primary focus was placed on best practices for process control and alignment such as IT Governance principles, COBIT, ITIL, along with K12TW developed system for structured infrastructure optimization.
